Ms. Corona B. Virus: Crisis + Fear + Hope

I was in the 2nd grade when the twin towers came crashing down due to the terroist attack on our nation. At the time, I didn't know what was going on, but every adult was rushing to get their kid out of school because they were uncertain, if and when, the next attack was going to happen. That was a scary time for us, but we made it out on the other side more prepared than ever before.

uncertainty can cause one to place power in dead situations.

Family, I know it is common to be fearful right now. Ms. Corona is upsetting me and my homegirls. I had plans. I had trips scheduled. I had events in place. I had a routine going. It was all interrupted.

Just like this pandemic, God has a way of detouring our plans to be aligned with his will.

If I am honest though guys - I am sad about it. Schools are closing. People are out of jobs. Folks are out of work with increase risk. Businesses are shutting down. People are fighting over groceries. We are living in a scary time. But should our fear dominate our faith in God and his word?

Although this is a huge, national scare that birthed fear in everyones's minds, there are still individuals that believes better is coming. What happens when we shift our panic into prayer? Our fear into faith? Our doubts into hope? What happens? Will the virus immediately go away? Maybe. Maybe not. But we have to believe that it can!

a strong, positive belief can shape and change the trajectory of any outcome.

It is okay to feel these emotions. It is okay to be concerned about your child's educational needs being met. It is okay to wonder about how your bills will get paid if you are forced to stay at home without pay. These are all natural feelings that I do not want you to ignore. HOWEVER, use these emotions to fuel your prayer life.

Never allow negative emotions to fester because it will root negative actions. Use those feelings to fuel your faith in Christ.

Needless to say, Ms.Corona B. Virus. I am serving a notice to you. It is time for you to go on about your business and leave us alone. I am thanking God for allowing us this time to truly trust in him and rebuild our relationships with our loved ones, but the enemy will get NO glory.

Read and chew on this prayer.

Dear Father,

I appreciate you for being a strong and mighty God that is all knowing. Although I may not understand, I am trusting that this season is all for a bigger plan. I ask that you protect and cover me and my family. Provide for us and keep us like never before. Even when we do not see a way, remind us that you are here and never left us. I rebuke illness and speak life, healing, and prosperity over our lives. I rebuke fear from residing in my household. I rebuke doubt from taking over my mind. I rebuke worry from dominating my heart. Instead, Lord, I trade those feelings for joy, peace, understanding, love, and faith. I believe in your blood and the power of the almighty. Continue to keep me and employ me with wisdom day-in and day-out. I love you and forever worship you. In Jesus' name, Amen!
